About us
We specialise in providing SMSF technical support to SMSF trustees and professionals, including membership associations. Our primary goal is to offer practical guidance and simplify complex topics.
We partner with small to medium-sized accounting, auditing and financial planning practices, helping their clients effectively manage their SMSFs. Our fixed fee structure provides a cost-effective alternative to maintaining an expensive in-house technical team, making our support both accessible and affordable.

Our expert
Gabriela Rusu is an SMSF technical specialist and writer with over 30 years of experience in banking and superannuation. She has managed Gabriela Rusu Superannuation Services since 2013, offering technical consultancy services to both SMSF professionals and trustees.
Alongside her consultancy work, Gabriela has written numerous technical articles featured in respected super publications, presented super quarterly webinars, and regularly contributed to superannuation discussion groups held by the Institute of Financial Professionals (originally known as Taxpayers Australia, then Tax & Super Australia). She is also the author of an SMSF Manual and co-author of a Tax Summary.
Prior to establishing her business, Gabriela spent 13 years at Cavendish Superannuation, the largest SMSF administration business in Australia at the time (now part of SuperConcepts). During her time there, she gained valuable experience in SMSF administration, education, technical support, and compliance.
Gabriela’s approach to client service is centred on collaboration and transparency. She believes in building strong, trusting relationships, where clients feel supported and informed at every step.
Gabriela holds a Graduate Diploma in Economics, a Diploma in Financial Services (Financial Planning), and is an accredited SMSF Specialist Advisor™ (SSA) with the SMSF Association.
